AMSRS codes, principles and policies

AMSRS upholds a set of professional industry, legislative and organisational codes, principals and policies as part of its overarching responsibility to members, employees and other stakeholders.

The AMSRS Code of Professional Behaviour (the COPB) sets out the basic principles that must guide the actions of those who carry out or use market, social and organisational research. It is designed as a framework for self-regulation and provides the public, government and business community with the assurances needed to encourage informed and willing participation in market and social research.

All individual members of the AMSRS are bound by the COPB which covers both the ethical requirements and standard conditions of conducting and reporting market and social research. It is the responsibility of members to keep themselves updated on the Code. The Code can be found on the AMSRS website at www.amsrs.com.au.

All volunteer members and employees are required to be familiar with the Code of Professional Behaviour, the Committee Code of Conduct and the principles, policies and codes outlined in the AMSRS regulations.
